Some dogs just love the rain. They run outside, roll in the grass get wet and muddy. Beamie is not one of those dogs. He has a raincoat that he looks quite handsome in, which he wears inside a safe distance away from any actual rain. He has had an umbrella carried over him, and coats draped over him. Beamie just does not like the rain. One wet afternoon I carried a frightened Beamie outside and set him down onto the grass. He stood perfectly still not moving a muscle. It looked like I had purchased a very lifelike lawn ornament. After that we had to make puppy pads a regular purchase for those rainy days.  Unlike his big brother, Elvis doesn’t mind the rain at all. He runs right out and plays. Beamie doesn’t mind one bit. He gets some alone time to contemplate life, while looking out the window watching the rain, as Elvis plays.
